Schtob thinks it is a very good idea do have a KAKTUS in a old sneaker around, meanwhile others need a bit more time to get used to it. (this particular person even managed to live with Franz West after some disturbance at the beginning: everything but CHARDONNAY)
BUT THEN LATER THE YEAR:
(in an email from Oct/2008 Anthony Spira confessed: (...)And I wanted to say, while I was away travelling, Schtob finally put an end to the sculpture with the cactus in the trainer... so your catalogue raisonne will sadly have to say 'destroyed' next to the pictures... (Do you have the other one, the left hand shoe?) I was surprised though, to find that she had skillfully transferred the cactus into the Brasso pot! So it lives on, in a way, on my window still...)
